LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Pastors and friends of Regular Baptist churches joined David Strope, interim national representative, for lunch meetings during T4G, the Together for the Gospel conference.

Meeting with both groups April 20 and 21 at The Old Spaghetti Factory, David shared what God is doing in the GARBC, encouraged people to attend the 2022 GARBC Conference in Grand Rapids in June, and shared updates on his ministry to Regular Baptist churches.

Josh Robinson, pastor of Altoona (Iowa) Regular Baptist Church, enjoyed meeting other pastors of Regular Baptist churches. “The food was excellent, and the fellowship was sweet,” he says.

Kurt Gomez, pastor of outreach at First Baptist Church, Grove City, Pennsylvania, was also thankful for the networking opportunity. “I was able to connect and reconnect with other pastors and friends,” he says.

Kurt found a sense of renewed energy in the meeting. He says, “The association updates and the encouragement from them is uplifting, something that can only happen within the body of Christ.”

Albert Bennett, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, Rantoul, Illinois, also left the meeting rejuvenated. “Connecting with David Strope and reconnecting with my co-laborers in pastoral ministry was refreshing and invigorating,” he says.

Kerry Watkins, director of church engagement for the GARBC, who organized the lunch meetings, says, “It is always a blessing to spend time with friends and fellow servants in Christ.”
