LOWPOINT, Ill.—Camp Manitoumi welcomed Eric Lloyd as program director, a first ever full-time position for camp. Eric was previously assistant pastor of Brown Street Baptist Church, Alton, Illinois, overseeing youth and children’s ministries, since August 2015.
“After years of dreaming and praying for this position, God opened up the door,” says John Kealen, executive director of the camp. “This dream is now a reality. . . . We know God has big plans in this, and we can’t wait to see what they are!”
Brown Street Baptist Church says “Eric’s goal for young people is for them to see God’s plan for their lives and yield their lives to Him. When that occurs, it is amazing what peace and joy comes to those who trust in God.”
Eric and his wife, Kim, along with their three children, moved to the camp last week. The couple thanks everyone who them helped load their belongings into a moving truck in Alton and then helped unload in the family’s new town of Germantown Hills.
“Now to get ready for the summer!” Eric says.
