Here’s a book that purposes to focus on this one aspect of eschatology—the word “apostasy,” what it means and what it entails. The book has four sections: explanation of apostasy; an exegesis of 2 Thessalonians 2:1–12, a major passage concerning apostasy; examination of apostasy events; and an exposition of seducing spirits (demonic spirits and so forth). Among the questions dealt with are these: “Does apostasy mean the Rapture?” “Can true Christians apostatize?” “Will Jesus Christ return to rapture His church before or after the apostasy?” “What is the relationship between the apostasy and the man of sin?”
In addition, the book contains several appendices, including a treatise on the identity of “the sons of God” in Genesis 6:1–4, and also an article called “Preaching the Rapture.” These two items were written by Brown’s sons, who are seminary professors—Douglas at Faith Baptist Theological Seminary, and Daniel at Central Baptist Seminary.
