JOHNSON CITY, N.Y.—“Amazing Grace” was the theme of the Renew Women’s Conference, an annual event of the Northeast Fellowship. First Baptist Church hosted the event Sept. 20–21.

Formerly known as Ladies’ Advance, the conference featured the rags-to-riches testimony of Julie Henning, who went from living as an orphan to being raised as the daughter of Nobel prize–winning author Pearl S. Buck. Julie later professed Christ as her Savior, discovering His unsearchable riches of salvation. She now attends First Baptist Church, Perkasie, Pennsylvania, where her husband, Doug, is family care pastor.

Many workshops complemented the theme of the conference, and the women collected an offering for Florece Prenatal and Family Counseling Center in Iquique, Chile, a ministry of ABWE.
