WINFIELD, Ill.—The women of Faith Baptist Church launched a new ladies’ ministry called Women of Faith. A kick-off party introduced the ladies to the coming year’s program and offered fellowship, a devotional led by Cisa Karalus, games, and the opportunity to make their own Christmas card wreaths.
The ladies have a great spirit among them and are enthusiastic about the year ahead.
During a brainstorming session prior to the ministry’s launch, ladies talked about what they would like to see in a women’s ministry. They each shared their interests and gifts, and then an organizing team put together a schedule and program based on their feedback.
In addition to a ladies’ Sunday School class and Bible study, Women of Faith is planning to hold three types of events, with the goal of hosting an event each month. Women will enjoy four large outreach events, multiple casual outings, and two community service opportunities. Teams of two to four women will work on planning each event so everyone will have the chance to get involved.
The goal of the new program is to grow together spiritually, encourage and care for each other, and serve together. The women are already experiencing the Lord work in a mighty way and looking forward to the stronger friendships and bonds that will come out of this program.
