WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis.—Teens attending Regular Baptist churches across the country have been busy preparing for Talents For Christ competitions. Talents For Christ encourages teens in grades 9–12 to develop their God-given talents and use them in local church ministry.
Teens from Wisconsin, as well as one from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, competed April 16 at Calvary Baptist Church. Two of the winners were Nathaniel Bishop and Abigail Jenks.
Bishop, a high school junior from L’Anse (Michigan) Baptist Church, won first place in piano. Jenks, a high school sophomore from Calvary Baptist Church, won first place in voice. Both earned $1,000 scholarships to attend one of TFC’s participating colleges and may compete nationally during the GARBC Conference June 28—July 1 in Oswego, Illinois.
