Kenya_inlineBREESPORT, N.Y.—Students attending Breesport Baptist Church responded to a need to serve children across the globe and collected cans to raise funds. The students, part of the church’s programs for those in kindergarten through 12th grade, collected beverage containers that have a five cent redemption value in New York. The funds will be sent to Kenya to purchase clothing for orphans. Three church members will be visiting the orphanage in February.

Inspired by the boy who gave Jesus his lunch and saw Him multiply his meager amount of food to feed over 5,000 people, the students prayed for a mountain of cans for their “Kans for Kenya” project. God answered, with 7,418 containers being collected, amounting to over $350.

The young people at Breesport Baptist Church can’t wait to see how God multiplies the small amount they have given God to help children in Kenya. They are praying that just like they redeemed cans that many people throw out, God will use their offering to redeem precious children whom many people have given up on.
