Retreat Offers Spiritual Refreshment for Hispanic Families

VENTURA, Iowa—Iowa Regular Baptist Camp hosted a two-day retreat for Hispanic families. Herb and Wanda Taylor, who serve in Hispanic ministries with Baptist Church Planters, plan this retreat every year and were encouraged by the attendance of 169 people.

Orlando and Debbie Collazo, missionaries with Baptist Church Planters since 2011, were the speakers. The Collazos are originally from Puerto Rico. Before joining Baptist Church Planters in 2011, Orlando was associate pastor for 12 years at Iglesia Evangelica Bautista in Philadelphia; he is now pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, Lorain, Ohio.

Hispanic families from Iowa and nearby states enjoyed the camp’s many outdoor activities, as well as teaching sessions for children and teens.
