ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill.—The GARBC announces the resignation of David Gunn as director of Regular Baptist Press. David has accepted an invitation from Baptist Bible Seminary (Clarks Summit, Pa.) to serve as a professor of systematic theology. He will begin ministry at BBS in June.

“David has given yeoman’s service on behalf of our fellowship these last eight years,” says David Strope, interim national representative of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches. “David has given oversight to all Regular Baptist Press products, including Regular Baptist Books; has written numerous articles; and has served as managing editor of the GARBC’s official magazine, the Baptist Bulletin. He has been a valued member of the executive leadership team at the GARBC home office. David will be greatly missed by all who have served with him at RBP/GARBC. He has exemplified a Christlike demeanor, professional excellence, and humility. Though saddened in his departure, we rejoice in God’s direction of the Gunns [David, Sarah, and their two sons, Caleb and Felix] and rejoice in their continued service for Christ.”

As he prepares to make this transition, Gunn expresses his appreciation for the GARBC and RBP. “Serving at this ministry for the past eight years has been an enormous privilege and honor, and I will dearly miss all my coworkers here at the GARBC home office,” he says. “My deepest thanks to the GARBC’s leadership for allowing me to serve in this role. Sarah and I are praying for God’s richest blessings on RBP and the GARBC in the days ahead.”

Speaking for the home office staff, the Council of Eighteen, and association churches, Strope expressed gratitude to David Gunn for his ministry: “Thank you, David. Your service on our behalf and for Christ has been fruitful, your friendship encouraging, your place difficult to fill. We pray God’s best for you as you pursue God’s will.”
