HURLOCK, Md.—Grace Baptist Church’s Amazin’ gRace for teens was a “success once again this year,” says Pastor David Talley. The church has been hosting the annual event for more than a decade. Teens and their leaders from six churches in the region attended Nov. 9.

“A group of reliable volunteers known as the G.Y.M. (Grace Youth Ministry) Mama Bears planned and executed a thrilling scavenger hunt,” Talley says. “The hunt included six teams driving all around town to various homes to solve riddles and complete a variety of fun feats of silliness.”

At the church, Talley and a small team of Grace Baptist teens led worship, and the group listened attentively to the preaching of the Word, based on the event’s theme, “Running from Responsibility.” The Mama Bears also served a taco bar for the teens and leaders before everyone parted for home.

Amazin’ gRace is one of three annual youth activities that the DelMarVa Baptist Fellowship, representing Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia churches, participate in together. The young people of the fellowship also get together for summer camp and a winter snow tubing event called The Winter Thing. In 2020 the teens will gather for a spring event as well.
