SANTA MARIA, Calif.—Pine Grove Baptist Church celebrated its 50th anniversary Oct. 11 and 12. The event included a dinner at which the wives of the former pastors were honored: Harriet Rahilly, wife of Harlan (pastor from 1964 to 1969), and Judy Golike, wife of Glen (pastor from 1970 to 1990). Harriet and Judy each received a plaque honoring her husband’s ministry at Pine Grove Baptist.
Bruce McLain, pastor since 1990, will become state representative of the California Association of Regular Baptist Churches in January. (Read “Meet the New CARBC State Representative.”)
Pastor Kelly Patchin, who grew up attending the church, preached on Sunday morning. He shared how many at Pine Grove Baptist Church influenced his life and encouraged his walk with God.
