OARBC3_inlineNORTHFIELD, Ohio—More than 100 church ministry workers from across Ohio and beyond converged on Northfield Baptist Church for the second Ohio Church Ministries Conference. The Ohio Association of Regular Baptist Churches partnered with Summit University to conduct an annual conference designed for volunteer church workers.

Keynote speaker Duke Crawford addressed the theme “Reaching for the Goal” by bringing three motivational messages from Philippians 3. Crawford is pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Toledo and author of the Regular Baptist Press men’s Bible studies Men at Home and Real Men Lead, as well as “Dealing with the Troublemaker,” a chapter in The Pastor: A Guide for God’s Faithful Servant, also published by Regular Baptist Press.

OARBC Representative Dave Warren says the conference is designed specifically for church ministry workers, not just leaders. The goal is to help them become more excited and effective Christian servants. Conferees chose from 25 workshops in the areas of children’s ministry, youth ministry, adult ministry, leadership, secretarial work, and general ministry. Additionally, exhibitors introduced attendees to numerous resources on various church ministries, including technology and counseling, as well as Bible study and evangelism.
