David Strope, GARBC interim national representative, began his ministry travels in the new year by presenting Regular Baptist Ministries and preaching at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Des Moines, Iowa, January 8.

David Mapes has served at Emmanuel Baptist Church since 2017. He was first a pastoral intern at the church before being called as pastor in 2019, succeeding Pastor Dan Bunge, who had retired.

“I often mention that the most fun aspect of my role is being able to do what I’m doing today: presenting the ministries of the fellowship,” David Strope told the church. He says, “God has blessed the 91 years of [Regular Baptist Ministries’] history, and God is yet doing a great work.”

On January 22 David Strope visited CrossRoad Baptist Church, Ames, Iowa. He gave an abbreviated report on Regular Baptist Ministries and preached in the morning worship service.

Pastor Will Hatfield, Associate Pastor Geoff Drew, and Pastoral Resident Jed Royce “were fine hosts,” David says.
