SANGER, Calif.—Ministry leaders in California enjoyed a Christian Workers’ Retreat Jan. 15–17 at Wonder Valley Ranch Resort and Conference Center, located in the Sierra foothills near Fresno.

The retreat has been an annual event of the California Association of Regular Baptist Churches since 1948 and is held in a different location of the state each year. Bruce McLain, state representative of the CARBC calls the retreat “an integral part of the ministry of the CARBC.”

This year attendees explored the theme “Rest” as it relates to salvation, devotion, collaboration, God’s sovereignty, joy, and calling. McLain says, “Our leaders left refreshed, some with a renewed sense of direction, some with a revitalized heart, and all with an appreciation for the time together in worship and fellowship.”
