WalkThru_inlineSALEM, Ore.—”Have you ever had trouble remembering which Old Testament story came before another? Or when the nation of Israel was in a divided kingdom? Or what the captivities were? Of course you have,” says Pastor Tim Baker of Bethany Baptist Church.

To help the congregation better understand the Old Testament, Bethany Baptist hosted a “Walk Thru the Old Testament” seminar with Terry Broberg.

Broberg is principal of Puyallup Elementary of Cascade (Washington) Christian Schools, as well as a Walk Thru the Bible presenter. A Walk thru the Bible event is “not a class, not a typical seminar or a boring lecture,” the organization says. “It’s a one-of-a-kind, highly dynamic, memorable event that helps you understand God’s Word and make the connection between His story and your story.”

The daylong event (starting at 10:30 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m.) was open for first-graders through adults, and 125 people attended.

Baker says, “We had a great time together learning the flow and content of the Old Testament story, beginning with creation and ending with the coming of Christ. Each Old Testament story was assigned a key word and given a specific hand motion to make it memorable.”
