GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—Four members of the GARBC home office staff traveled to Calvary Baptist Church in Grand Rapids to begin planning for the 2022 GARBC Conference, to be held there June 27–30.
The visit Jan. 27–28 was the first face-to-face meeting of the teams from both the GARBC and the church.
For these four home office staff members, a major goal of the visit was to get a firsthand look at the church’s facilities and infrastructure, like audiovisual capabilities and security.
“The meeting was very helpful and profitable,” says Kerry Watkins, director of church engagement for the GARBC. “We got everything done that we needed to, including reviewing some hotels that may be used by conference attendees.”
The GARBC thanks Calvary Baptist Church for its willingness to host this year’s conference. The church has “a great place for members of the GARBC to gather,” Kerry says.
