FLINT, Mich.—Emmanuel Baptist Church “had a wonderful day” celebrating its 100th anniversary, says Pastor John Scally.

The theme of the anniversary service was thanking God for the past, knowing that our best days are ahead. Harold Constant, former pastor who led the church into its present facility, spoke. “He reminded us that the God Who led people through the Depression back when the church began is the same God Who’s leading us through the coronavirus now,” John says.

After Harold’s message, the church family saw a video presentation and viewed pictures from every decade of the church’s existence.

“It was a phenomenal day,” John says. “Praise our great God!”
