DelMarVa_inlineFORT WASHINGTON, Md.—The annual meeting of the DelMarVa Baptist Fellowship took place on May 12 at Capitol-Allentown Baptist Church. Pastor Kurt Schroder of Good News Baptist Church, Cascade, Maryland, a church plant with Continental Baptist Mission, spoke in the first session.

“The message encouraged us that the Lord has given us wonderful resources for a powerful witness,” says Carl Gibbs, associate pastor of Evangel Baptist Church, Hagerstown, Maryland.

The annual business meeting followed, with elections of new members to the Council of Nine, camp directors giving encouraging reports, and others sharing future church-planting endeavors.

Dr. John Morgan and his wife, Michele, medical missionaries with the Association of Baptist for World Evangelism, spoke to the men and women during split sessions. Dr. Morgan focused on seven trends seen in missionary work: globalization, Islamitization, the “Global South,” Pentacostalism, short-term missions, missionary profile, and partnering.

Gibbs says, “The fellowship and worship were a great encouragement to the churches who attend.”
