Congregation Meets with Nepali Church for Combined Worship Service

WINFIELD, Ill.—Faith Baptist Church joined a Nepali congregation for a combined church service. The Nepali church meets for its own services each week at Faith Baptist, and the two congregations looked forward to worshiping God together on March 3.

During the service Faith Baptist’s worship team served alongside the Nepali worship team to lead everyone in songs of praise. Then Hancock Sen, pastor of the Nepali church, spoke from 1 Kings 17:1–3 on being prepared for God’s plan, and Mike Myers, pastor of Faith Baptist, led everyone in Communion. A translator translated both messages, and a luncheon featuring favorite foods from both cultures followed the service.

“It was such a blessing to worship Christ with fellow believers from Nepal,” Myers says. “It gave us a small taste of what Heaven will be like.”
