Conference Offers Training in Biblical Counseling

LAFAYETTE, Ind.—Faith Church welcomed a record number of attendees to its Biblical Counseling Training Conference Feb. 13–18. Just over 1,800 people representing 12 countries attended in person or online.

More than 30 speakers who are experienced in Biblical counseling shared insight on skillfully, confidently, and lovingly serving others with answers, direction, and hope from God’s sufficient Word.

Attendees also learned from author Dane Ortlund and additional instructors, who led a preconference session Feb. 12 on “Counseling with the Heart of Christ.”

“There’s something especially delightful about spending an entire week focused on the sufficiency of Christ and His Word,” says Pastor Steve Viars.

The conference, offered each February, is part of Faith Church’s Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries.

“Not enough can be said for the level of hospitality and training received,” says attendee Kathy Smith. “God is truly using Faith Church to do great things!”
