SANDUSKY, Ohio—Calvary Baptist Church hosted its Fifth Annual Community Day. “The event was launched in an effort to show the love of Christ to the community and to provide an opportunity for members to invite someone to hear the gospel,” says Pastor Nathan Klier. God granted perfect weather, he says, and 500 people attended.
During this event on Saturday, Aug. 16, the church served a free meal of roast pig, hot dogs, corn on the cob, snow cones, popcorn, and cookies. Children enjoyed a carnival, bounce house, and “wordless book” face painting. Adults took in concerts from the church’s praise team, a classic car show consisting of 54 cars from all eras, door prizes, free baked and canned goods, and a clear gospel presentation.
