OXFORD, Mich.—First Baptist Church has called Claude Wiggins as pastor. He began his ministry in Oxford on Oct. 12.
Before coming to First Baptist, he was assistant to the president at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary from 2001 to 2014 and was a staff member of Inter-City Baptist Church, both in Allen Park, Mich. He was also on the pastoral staff at three churches in Michigan and Virginia from 1984 to 2000.
Wiggins holds an MDiv from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary and a DMin from Temple Baptist Seminary. He and his wife, Lynn, have three children and two grandchildren.
