Damascus Road Community Baptist Church, Cockeysville, Maryland, celebrated its second graduation of students at the church’s Bible institute in Benin, Nigeria. The 20 graduates include 17 men who are now ordained for ministry.
Damascus Road Bible Institute, which includes three children’s schools, is located in 12 areas worldwide. The church is now working to start campuses in Anchorage, Alaska; the United Kingdom; Canada; and Katy, Texas.
Damascus Road Community Baptist Church began in 2018. When Pastor Tony Lawson started the church, creating a megachurch was not his desire, he says. Nevertheless, this church is reaching the world with the gospel.
“Damascus Road has a deep passion for missions and outreach, and we thank God for using this church plant to reach the world,” Tony says. “God is making all of this possible; therefore, it is our Lord that gets all the glory. We are only getting started.”
