LIMA, Ohio—Three Ohio churches—Grace Baptist of Lima, Meadowbrook Baptist of Lima, and Faith Baptist of Elida—convened to complete a Bible project with Bearing Precious Seed. Bearing Precious Seed is a Bible-publishing ministry of a church in Ohio and has existed since 1973.

Meeting at Grace Baptist Church May 3–4, the three churches assembled and boxed 25,000 Gospels of John that had been printed in Nepali. To assemble the books, the participants had to fold the covers, lay the interior pages inside the cover, and staple the pages to the cover.

The OARBC says that assembling and boxing the books was “a great project for all ages.” These books will join 25,000 others that Bearing Precious Seed will send to northern India.

Prior to the event, the three churches raised $3,974.59, which covered the cost of the books and supplies. From that total, the churches also gave Bearing Precious Seed a gift of $854.78 to help the ministry purchase paper that will produce 455 complete Bibles.
