Church Ministries Conference Equips Leaders

By March 25, 2019No Comments

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—The Grand Rapids Association of Regular Baptist Churches held its Annual Church Ministries Conference at Calvary Baptist Church.

Attendees gleaned valuable insight from nearly 100 workshops and from speaker Charles Ware, president emeritus of Crossroads Bible College. Two of the workshop presenters were Marrena Ralph, Kids4Truth Clubs program specialist, and Alan Wilson, US field coordinator for Regular Baptist Press.

In her workshop “Effective Review Games,” Marrena taught 13 techniques to make review games an effective tool to help children learn. Her workshop “Effective Memory Techniques” taught how to help children memorize and retain Bible verses and Christian truths.

Alan led workshops on “Revive the Sunday School” and “Revitalize the Stagnant Congregation.” He discussed why Sunday School is still important, presented three building blocks that ensure a successful Sunday School, and shared suggestions for turning around a flat or declining church.

With its numerous workshops dealing with all aspects of local church ministry, the conference is a popular and practical means to equip and encourage ministry leaders.
