Haiti_inlineHERMANTOWN, Minn.—Five members of Faith Baptist Church ministered to children in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The team worked with Pastor Prédestin Hérard, director of My Father’s House orphanage. Each day, the team taught Bible lessons in the morning to a group of approximately 150 children and, in the afternoon, spent time getting to know the kids, played games with them, and encouraged them to love Jesus.

The team presented Hérard with over $400, money that students attending Faith Baptist’s Vacation Bible School had raised  to support the orphanage, and additional funds to purchase two generators for churches in Port-au-Prince. These churches fellowship with the Association des Énglises Evangeliques Baptistes d´Haiti, of which Hérard is president. The association itself partners with the International Partnership of Fundamental Baptist Ministries.

“It is a great joy to be able to encourage churches in our international fellowship as well as meet spiritual and physical needs for these precious children,” says Pastor Brian Wiita.

This is Faith’s third visit to My Father’s House since 2010, and the church is already planning to return.
