SandLakeMI_inlineSAND LAKE, Mich.—For the second consecutive year, Ensley Baptist Church had the privilege of hosting a fine group of young men from Grand Valley University on a mission to raise money for multiple sclerosis. These men, part of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, were attempting to raise $35,000 for multiple sclerosis research through an 8-day, 160-mile walk from Grand Valley University, Allendale, Michigan, near Grand Rapids, to Traverse City. They camped out in the church’s gym after the second leg of their journey (23 miles) Feb. 27. The next night, they stayed at First Baptist Church in Reed City.

By the end of their walk on March 5, they had raised over $40,000. Next year, says Pastor Tim Decker, Ensley Baptist Church hopes to provide meals for the group in addition to a warm place to stay.
