GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—Trinity Baptist Church installed David Rodgers as associate pastor of children’s ministry and Christian education.

“Dave has attended Trinity Baptist Church for a few years, and in that time, he has faithfully loved, taught, and served selflessly alongside the church body,” the church says.

He and his wife, Krista, came to Trinity Baptist Church with 24 years of experience ministering in schools, camps, colleges, and churches throughout the U.S., Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. The church installed him to his new role Sept. 19.

Pastor Brett A. Boomsma says, “We are fortunate to add Dave onto our vocational elder/pastoral staff. Dave comes to us with two master’s degrees, including an MDiv from Clarks Summit University. However, we are even more blessed to do this in what I think most closely follows the New Testament example. The church simply recognized and overwhelmingly asked him to join our plurality of leadership at Trinity fulltime.”
