BELLEVUE, Wash.—Churches in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho met April 7–9 for the Baptist Network Northwest’s spring meeting. Speaker and author Larry Osborne challenged attendees with truths from God’s Word.

Osborne’s key phrase was “description, not prescription” as he gave concrete examples of how he has applied God’s Word in his life and ministry. He shared both his successes and failures in pastoral ministry and challenged everyone to close their churches’ “back doors” by creating strong relationships between leaders and members.

Attendees were also encouraged by annual reports, including a strong financial report for BNN and Northwest Baptist Home Mission. But the most exciting news was the calling of Dave Lunsford as executive director after a unanimous vote.

After hearing of the voting results, Lunsford expressed that he was humbled by this call to ministry extended by his colleagues.
