LOWPOINT, Ill.—Camp Manitoumi hosted the fall conference of the Illinois-Missouri Association of Regular Baptist Churches. Church members and leaders gathered in the camp’s relaxed setting Oct. 2–3 for fellowship, to conduct association business, and to honor three milestones: the camp’s 60th anniversary, the Illinois-Missouri Association’s 80th anniversary, and Bernie Augsburger’s 10th anniversary as the association’s representative.

Dan Gonnerman, pastor of Faith Baptist Church, Bridgeton, Missouri, and chairman of the camp’s board, brought the opening message. He challenged attendees from 2 Corinthians 8:1–8 to be involved in service for Christ both personally and by partnering with others.

Augsburger says Camp Manitoumi “has functioned for 60 years because of the faithful partnering of interested churches, involved pastors, dedicated directors, diligent staff, and godly individuals who have been faithful partners. . . . Truly, together we can accomplish more and go further with Christ.”

Camp Manitoumi offers camping programs each summer for students in third grade through high school, as well as a weeklong family camp and year-round retreats for all ages.
