GOWEN, Mich.—At Lincoln Lake Camp, students are taking part in a retreat called Lake Effect. The camp is hosting the retreat over seven weekends, with the last one to take place March 3–5. Each weekend of the students’ choosing, they enjoy playing ice hockey at an indoor arena, nine square in the air indoors, and outdoor sports, as well as sipping cocoa by a fire in the game room. And if it snows, they will tube down a lit hill at night.
Camp staff have aimed to provide plenty of opportunities for students to connect while learning truths from God’s Word. Three pastors of Regular Baptist churches are among those speaking: Phil Severn, youth pastor at First Baptist Church, Lowell, Michigan; Greg East, associate pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Ludington, Michigan; and Mark Shaw, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Greenville, Michigan.
Lincoln Lake Camp, located along the eastern shore of Lincoln Lake, hosts events for students and adults year-round.
