Camp Hosts Fall Ladies’ Retreat

MORENO VALLEY, Calif.—Victory Ranch hosted a fall ladies’ retreat, with women from 13 Regular Baptist churches in Southern California attending.

Speaking on the theme “Growing a Tree of Trust from a Seed of Faith,” Sue Miller took the ladies through well-known Bible stories to look deeper at the trials and blessings that God uses to deepen people’s faith. Combining these Biblical truths with testimonies from her own life, she emphasized the faithfulness of God and the importance of growing deep roots of faith to weather the storms of life.

Throughout the retreat Oct. 6 and 7, the ladies also enjoyed music, crafts, horseback riding, archery, and the rifle range. Some of the ladies brought craft items to display and sell at a gift boutique, and several churches contributed gift baskets that were auctioned off to raise money for projects at Victory Ranch. Most importantly, the ladies had plenty of opportunities to make new friends, reconnect with old ones, and fellowship together as women of faith.
