BREESPORT, N.Y.—Sixty young adults from 15 Baptist churches in the Empire State Fellowship of Regular Baptist Churches spent Saturday, July 11 connecting with one another and with God. Breesport Baptist Church hosted the program, appropriately called “Connect.” Guest speaker was Dave Whiting, pastor of North Baptist Church, Rochester, N.Y. His two messages emphasized that worshiping God is an everyday opportunity, not just a one-day obligation on Sunday.
Attendees also chose between two “Connectors” workshops: “Giving It Back: It’s Not All about Me” and “Essentials for Meeting the Right One.” In addition to the worship sessions led by Scott Snyder (host pastor), the young adults played games, viewed thought-provoking videos, enjoyed a cookout, and became acquainted (“connected”) with other adults their age from sister churches.
