Lois Russell, Pastor’s Wife

MILLERSBURG, Ohio—Lois Russell, a pastor’s wife, died July 8. She was 90.

Lois earned a degree from Baptist Bible Seminary in 1954. While in college she met and married William Russell. Throughout their 64 years of marriage they served in pastorates in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio and interim pastorates in northeast Ohio. They also served at Skyview Ranch, where William was executive director and where they ministered to youth.

Lois was also a talented singer and an amazing pianist (she could transpose in a split second) and used these abilities to serve her Lord and Savior throughout her 90 years.

She faithfully cared for her family and friends, sharing her talents, testimony, work ethic, and generous heart. One of her finest qualities was her ability to love unconditionally.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, William, on Jan. 19, 2017; her parents, Dr. Paul and Stella Jackson; and a brother, Dr. Mark Jackson.

She is survived by her four children, Joy Peterson, Donna, Brantly, and William; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dr. Donn Jackson.
