Deborah Wright, Pastor’s Wife

RED BLUFF, Calif.—Deborah Wright, pastor’s wife, died on Aug. 22, 2011. She was 59.

Deborah, a Daughter of the American Revolution, served alongside her husband, Dr. Paul Wright, pastor of Community Baptist Church, Red Bluff, Calif., where he has ministered since 1991. Dr. Wright is also a part-time faculty member at Shasta Bible College and Graduate School. The Wright family came to Red Bluff from Southern California, where Dr. Wright served as the dean of Logos Bible Institute at Grace Community Church with John MacArthur. Under the GCC umbrella in the 1980s, Paul and Deborah served for several years in a Theological Education by Extension ministry throughout Eastern Europe, establishing Biblical educational centers and organizing Bible studies prior to the fall of communism.

Deborah was preceded in death by her father, Charles Watson.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Sr.; a, son, Paul Jr.; two daughters, Catherine Myers and Kimberly Allen; her mother, Jane Watson; a brother, William Watson; three grandchildren; a nephew; and two nieces.
