WAKEFIELD, Mich.—For a week at the end of August, the parsonage of Calvary Baptist Church in Wakefield looked more like a rooming house—temporary home to five members of the Hesperia Baptist Church, Hesperia, Mich., who camped out in the parsonage as they served on a missions trip.
Wakefield is a town of about 2,000 people, just fifteen miles from the Wisconsin border in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The group from Hesperia reconstructed an upstairs bathroom at the parsonage, which had previously been stripped to the studs. They were also able to install window wells on the church and insulate the wall of the basement. The group also back-filled the foundation of the church with dirt left over from the newly-installed parking lot.
The project involved a great deal of backbreaking work with wheelbarrows, but Pastor Tom Bauder of Calvary Baptist reported that the four men and one woman did a fantastic job. 
Several members of Calvary Baptist joined in the wheelbarrow fun which was great appreciated.
