Addison, N. Y.—Dr. Mike Stallard, the new dean of Baptist Bible Seminary (Pennsylvania), has taught a recent Shop Talk on “Current Contentious Theological Issues” for the Empire State Fellowship. Forty nine people (mostly pastors) attended the four-hour session held at the Tuscarora Baptist Church, Addison, N. Y. Dr. Stallard, who has taught systematic theology at the seminary since 1994, exposed the fallacy of a number of theological views, such as, postmodern hermeneutics and theology method, open theism, New Perspective of Paul, the resurgence of Reformed theology and the emerging church. It was a very profitable time of studying Bible doctrine together as well as enjoying the fellowship of other comrades in ministry while being strengthened in the Faith.
