EMPIRE STATE FELLOWSHIP, N.Y.—Forty-eight seniors from 27 churches in the Empire State Fellowship of Regular Baptist Churches flew west for the week of July 20–27 to visit some awe-inspiring sites.

Host Craig Golden, state representative of the ESF, led the group to Yellowstone National Park, Wyo.; the Grand Teton Mountains, Wyo.; the Badlands, S.D.; and Scotts Bluff National Monument, Neb. They traveled on a bus, part of the Master’s Touch Christian Charter Service and Tours, owned and operated by Warren and Debby Micale.

Living by Golden’s motto—“You can sleep when you get home. Let’s get our money’s worth while we’re here”—the seniors tramped over tourist attractions such as Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument, and enjoyed the world-renown Wall Drug, Bear World in Idaho, and the legendary rodeo in Cody, Wyo. Golden says, “We ate like cowboys at Chuck Wagon Dinner Shows, bought ‘thousands’ of T-shirts for our grandkids at the numerous gift shops, and visited museums and an IMAX theater.” On Sunday the group worshiped at First Baptist Church in Cody. During the week they had daily devotions from Psalm 8 and watched the video Indescribable by Louis Giglio.

Golden says, “No one fell or got sick, and we all made it back home safely but very tired. God as always was good to our travelers. And as always the travelers gave God the praise for a grand and glorious trip. But no one could adequately share with you their experience, because it really was indescribable!”
