ENDICOTT, N.Y.—Pigeon Forge, Tenn., located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, was the destination of two busloads of senior saints during the week of Sept. 19–25. Some 112 travelers from 40 churches, the majority affiliated with the Empire State Fellowship of Regular Baptist Churches, enjoyed the many live family-friendly shows in the town’s numerous theaters. The trip’s highlight for many was the day spent driving in the beautiful Smokies and having a picnic lunch in the woods. Spiritual highlights were The Miracle musical (similar to Pennsylvania’s Sight and Sound Theater productions); Sunday services at Grace Baptist Church in Roanoke; gospel music, especially the programs of the Blackwood Singers and the Kingdom Heirs; and the fellowship of believers laughing, joking, and having one hilarious time together.
The week in beautiful and warm Tennessee had variety (some even rode a camel), fabulous meals (all confessed eating too much at the buffet dinners), skillful professional musicians (like Patty, who played 10 instruments, and Biscuit, the heavyweight banjo player), and lovely accommodations at Country Inn and Suites. Everyone thanks God for His watch care on the trip.
