ELYRIA, Ohio—On Sunday, March 22 First Baptist Church celebrated the 25th anniversary of Dr. Bradley Quick as pastor. Pastor Quick and his wife, Debra, were honored with a surprise worship and recognition service with a dinner and program that followed. In FBC’s 173-year history, Pastor and Deb have the longest tenure in ministry of the more than 30 pastors who have faithfully served the church. Dr. Gary Anderson and Rev. Bryce Augsburger spoke, and Dr. David Little was emcee for the service. Special gifts and a love offering were presented.

The service and program included personal recognitions, letters, notes, videos, and cards from around the world, including greetings from Dr. John Whitcomb, Dr. John Greening, Dr. James Maxwell, several missionaries commissioned or supported by the church, church members, agency leaders, and ministry friends.

More than 700 attended the celebration. The Elyria mayor, William R. Grace, attended the service and presented a proclamation to the Quicks, and Ohio Senator George Voinovich read a commendation. The president of the University of Michigan offered his congratulations, Jim Tressel of Ohio State sent a personal card.

FBC is thankful to the Lord for His allowing the Quicks to remain with the church for these years and to see His blessing on their ministry. The church is deeply appreciative of the Quicks and their faithful shepherding ministry. As the Lord tarries, FBC looks forward to the future.
