Arlington Heights, Ill.—Members of First Baptist Church, Arlington Heights, Ill., have hosted a water station for runners during the 4th Annual Walter Payton Cancer Run, which happened to be routed past the front of the church property. Participants ran 16,762 yards—about nine and half miles—which was the distance of Walter Payton’s rushing record.bb-incopy-story2.jpg

Church members Jackson Banger, Bailey Banger, their mother Laura Banger, and Jill Ross braved the early morning chill to hand out over 340 cups water and Gatorade to passing runners. Rob Banger, father of Jackson and Bailey, was one of the runners in the race.
