Prudenville Prayer Tent

PRUDENVILLE, MICHIGAN—The Relay for Life is a community event that raises money for the American Cancer Society. This year, for the first time, First Baptist Church of Prudenville was invited to set up a prayer tent at the July event. People could stop by, share needs, and have someone pray with them. Pastor Doug Stockwell was asked to open the whole event in prayer, and various members from our church walked the track. One church member had the privilege of singing Christ-centered songs for a half hour as part of the event. The church members also had tracts and copies of the Gospel of John to hand out. The church is thankful for the opportunities God gave them to serve the community in this way.
