OARBC meets in Toledo

TOLEDO, OHIO—More than 300 guests attended the annual meetings of the Ohio Association of Regular Baptist Churches on Oct. 21 and 22, held at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Toledo.

Conference guests heard a unique “preaching relay” on Monday afternoon featuring Pastor Scott Duncan, Minford, Ohio; Pastor Larry Nocella, Camden, Ohio; and Pastor Matt Nihiser, Lancaster, Ohio. Other speakers included Dr. David Warren, state representative for the OARBC, and Dr. Charles Ware, president of Crossroads Bible College in Indianapolis, Ind. Worship times were led by Pastor Ron Mundy of Emmanuel Baptist in Toledo.

Following Dr. Ware’s Tuesday morning message, David Warren invited all missionaries to the platform to introduce themselves and briefly describe their ministries. The missionaries then divided into three groups and were sent out into the audience where they were surrounded in the aisles by conference guests who prayed for them.

On Monday, women were invited to attend the First Ladies’ Tea, prepared by volunteers from the host church. Guests also participated in business sessions and a Friendship Hour with various presentations by schools, camps, and mission organizations.

The Ohio Association of Regular Baptist Churches is a fellowship of 180 independent Baptist churches that have met annually since their inception in 1928.
