The First Baptist Church of Newark Valley, N. Y., held their annual Vacation Bible School, July 9-13, on the them “RescueZone: Saved by God’s Power.”
Students gave over $650 for the GARBC Chaplaincy program, the mission project for the week. The money will be used to purchase teddy bears which hold New Testaments; the chaplains give these when counseling families with parents in war-torn areas such as Iraq and Afghanistan. VBS students in New York are helping comfort children around the world. The closing program included Newark Valley firefighters and emergency personnel.
