The Springs Ministries, a Regular Baptist camp in Gladwin, Michigan, hosted a ladies’ retreat March 31–April 2.
“Conversations with friends new and old and projects such as ‘our life timeline’ helped solidify the theme ‘My Story, His Story. Rooted in Truth,'” the camp says.
In a panel discussion, three women shared how God deepened their faith through life’s challenges.
Those women “said they wouldn’t sign up to be a retreat speaker,” says Martha Kohns, whose husband, Dan, is executive director of The Springs Ministries. But those women, friends of Martha’s, “have a story to tell about how they have journeyed through some tough stuff of life.”
“We need each other,” Martha says. “Their stories have been a great encouragement to me personally,” and Martha knew that ladies at the retreat “would be blessed too.”
Martha says that “God used this weekend in the lives of each person who attended, and what a blessing the time together was.”
