Nebraska Teens Enjoy Winter Youth Rally

GRETNA, Neb.—Gretna Baptist Church hosted the Nebraska Association of Regular Baptist Churches’ Winter Youth Rally on Sat., Jan. 31. With temperatures hovering around 50°F, it was a great day for a variety of outdoor activities enjoyed by the 70 participating teens and their sponsors from seven churches. Jeremy Penrod, assistant pastor of Temple Baptist, Lincoln, Neb., and Phil Tilson, director of Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp, Genoa, Neb., organized the activities. Tim and Erin Shaffer of Gretna Baptist led the worship time, and Shon Lundberg, dean of students at Faith Baptist Bible College, spoke from Psalm 63 about the importance of cultivating a thirst for God. After lunch, the group traveled to Mahoney State Park for a couple hours of ice-skating.
