In November the NARBC (National Association of Regular Baptist Camps) held their annual conference at the Twin Lakes Camp and Conference Center in Hillsboro, Indiana. The retreat included workshops, activities, and messages aimed at encouraging and challenging camp workers. The keynote speaker for this event was John Greening, National Representative of the GARBC.
Lynnae Callison, staff member at the Iowa Regular Baptist Camps recaps her experience at this years conference:
As a first-timer to the NARBC conference, I enjoyed relaxing and learning from others’ experience. We cooks spent time discussing different menu and recipe ideas that we trust will improve our kitchens, and the messages challenged me to make sure that my heart is pure in order to effectively serve the Lord. Overall, the conference helped me refocus on the incredible opportunity that I have to whole-heartedly and joyfully serve our campers and build into their lives for eternity.
This conference equipped camp staff members from around the country with tools and ideas they can take home and use to make the 2007 camp year the best it can be.
