Staff KidsThe Regular Baptist Ministry Resource Center celebrated Take Your Child to Work day. Twelve children of staff members came to the office to find out what it is that their parents really do during the day. The children had fun participating in many different work activities. The morning started off with a devotional by John Greening, national representative of the GARBC. The kids were then formed into teams that they worked with throughout the day. Darrell Goemaat, director of photography, held a photo shoot with the kids. Daria Greening, executive assistant, taught a lesson in writing after which the children worked in teams to write a contemporary story to go with a Bible story in the Sunday School curriculum. The teams raced to see who could be the first to correctly pack a box of product to be shipped. The kids were joined by their parents for a lunch and then spent some time in their parents’ offices working with them. In the afternoon, Doug Jennings, graphic designer, gave a drawing lesson. The kids then worked on designing a take-home paper while Doug drew caricatures of them. It was a fun and educational day. At the end of the day the kids presented their projects and received certificates for their hard work.
