HI logoCollege students have been known to hit the beach or some other relaxing destination over spring break. But forty-one students, children, and sponsors from Helping Internationals, the international student ministry of Campus Baptist Church and Evangelical Baptist Missions, chose a spring break destination with a spiritual emphasis.

International StudentsThe Iowa Regular Baptist Camp hosted of a three-day retreat March 9–11, the first weekend of spring break. Local pastors, Steve Cox and Scott Greening, and IARBC staff member, Dave Callison, spoke and led Bible workshops on the topics of “The Gospel,” “Handling Your Emotions,” “Money Matters,” and “What Happens When You Receive Christ.”

The students were also challenged mentally and physically with wall-climbing activities, supervised by camp director Phil Betz and his IARBC team. Students encouraged each other, cheering each individual to keep climbing until the goal was reached. Many good conversations took place during and after the retreat. Spiritual decisions were made and have been revealed in the days since.
