bb-incopy-bensons.jpgRolland and Gladys Benson, who were faithful members of Prairie Flower Baptist Church, Washington, Iowa, before going to be with the Lord, have left approximately $7.5 million to the ministries of Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary, Ankeny, Iowa. It is the largest gift ever given to the school. The school’s board, after several months of prayer and consideration, directed the administration to pursue three new college programs—missionary nursing, counseling, and discipleship—and two new seminary programs—master of theology and doctor of ministry. The Board also authorized Faith’s administration to use the gift to freeze tuition for the 2008-09 academic year, set aside a major portion of the gift to provide student scholarships in memory of the Bensons, and initiate additional campus improvements.
